Be Part of Tipp City’s Story – We’re Hiring!

| Categories Featured | News | March 17, 2025

There’s something special about Tipp City. Maybe it’s the charm of our historic streets, the way downtown comes alive during events, or the friendly faces you recognize when you’re out and about. It’s a place where community means something, where people care about their neighbors, their local businesses, and the traditions that make this town feel like home.

But what really makes Tipp City thrive? It’s the people who show up. The volunteers who give their time. The sponsors who believe in our vision. The friends of downtown who support local businesses. And it’s also the behind-the-scenes work that ensures every event, every gathering, and every detail reflects the heart of this community.

And that’s where you might come in.

An Opportunity to Be Part of Something Special
The Downtown Tipp City Partnership (DTCP) is looking for an Event Support Assistant. This is someone who loves the energy of a community event, enjoys making sure details are just right, and wants to be part of what makes Tipp City memorable. If that sounds like you, or if you know someone who would be a great fit, we’d love for you to share this opportunity!

This isn’t just a job. It’s an opportunity to help shape downtown experiences, meet local business owners, and connect with the volunteers, sponsors, and friends who bring our events to life. You’ll be part of the team that keeps things running smoothly, ensuring that every event feels welcoming and unforgettable.

Why This Role Matters
DTCP’s mission is to preserve, promote, and enhance Tipp City’s historic downtown. Our events aren’t just about gathering; they help fund preservation projects, support local businesses, and keep downtown vibrant and welcoming. The Event Support Assistant will play a key role in ensuring these events run smoothly, from setup to breakdown and everything in between. You’ll be part of the team that helps bring people together while supporting the heart of Tipp City.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Assisting with event setup, breakdown, and logistics.
Distributing flyers, check-in lists, and materials to local businesses.
Running errands to pick up supplies and last-minute event needs.
Supporting volunteers, ensuring they have the resources they need.
Capturing photos and videos to help share the community experience.
Representing DTCP in a friendly and professional way during events.

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who is:
✔️ Reliable and adaptable—ready to jump in when needed.
✔️ A strong communicator, able to take direction but also solve problems on the spot.
✔️ Comfortable working with volunteers and engaging with local businesses.
✔️ Positive and professional in every interaction.
✔️ Able to lift up to 25 pounds and handle supply runs.
✔️ Has reliable transportation for errands and event needs.

Why It’s More Than Just a Job
This role isn’t about just checking tasks off a list. It’s about being part of Tipp City’s story. You’ll work alongside volunteers, meet local business owners, and help create events that bring people together and build memories that last. You’ll know that your work is making a difference—not just in how events look, but in how they feel for the community.

How to Apply:
If this sounds like the perfect fit—or if you know someone who would be amazing in this role—please share this and encourage them to apply!

From Newcomer to Neighbor: Embracing the Heart of Tipp City

| Categories News | March 13, 2025

Today marks two years since I stepped into the role of Executive Director for the Downtown Tipp City Partnership. What a journey it has been, a journey that has not only shaped my career but has captured my heart in ways I never expected.

When I first took this position, I knew I was stepping into a role of leadership and service. What I didn’t realize was how deeply I would fall in love with this small-town feel. There’s something undeniably special about walking down streets lined with historic buildings, waving to familiar faces, and watching neighbors gather for events that bring life and joy to our community. There’s a warmth here that feels like home.

I’ve seen firsthand the heart and hustle that make Tipp City thrive. It’s the business owners who pour their passion into every detail of their shops and restaurants, the volunteers who give their time and energy to keep our traditions alive, and the community members who show up, whether it’s to celebrate, support, or simply enjoy the charm of our downtown. Each moment, each connection, has deepened my love for this place and its people.

These two years have been filled with growth, both personal and professional. As I transitioned into this role and navigated a career change, I was met with incredible support and encouragement. I am deeply grateful to everyone who guided me, offered advice, and stood by my side as I learned. Your belief in me made all the difference, and I am honored to be part of this journey with you.

One of the things I am most excited about is giving back to the volunteers who have given so much to serve this community. On April 1, we will be hosting the ‘No Joke, We Love Volunteers’ event, a night dedicated to celebrating the incredible people who help make Tipp City so special. It’s just one small way to say thank you for the big impact they have.

I am grateful to be part of a community that values connection, history, and togetherness. Thank you to everyone who has welcomed me, supported me, and shared in the vision of making downtown Tipp City a place where memories are made and traditions are cherished.

Here’s to many more years of growth, celebration, and love for this small-town life.

With gratitude,
Tasha Weaver
