Applications Now Open for the Downtown Tipp City Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Celebration

Downtown Tipp City will soon be glowing with holiday cheer, and we’re excited to announce that applications are now live for the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

This tradition brings families, friends, and neighbors together to experience the magic of the holiday season in our storybook downtown. From the twinkling lights to the festive floats, it’s a night filled with joy, memories, and small-town charm.

This Year’s Theme: Twinkling Tidings in Tipp

Each year, our parade showcases the creativity and holiday spirit of our community. For 2025, floats, costumes, and decorations will shine under the theme “Twinkling Tidings in Tipp.” We can’t wait to see how participants bring this festive theme to life!

Event Details

Parade Step-Off: 6:00 PM

Tree Lighting Ceremony: 7:00 PM

The parade will wind through downtown, leading us to the highlight of the evening — the official tree lighting in the heart of downtown Tipp City. It’s a magical moment when the whole community gathers to watch the lights sparkle and share the joy of the holiday season.

Provide a brief description of the float you intend to bring or vehicles and trailers involved. Also not if you will just be walking.

We try to keep floats with music separated so we can hear each one.

***Units are announced as they pass the review stand. PLEASE include this information with this application and any additional information on your organization or entry that we might be able to include if time allows.

Note: Staging areas will be assigned one week prior to the parade, we will email out your staging area and arrival time along with a Map of the location. All parade participants are to check-in at their respective staging areas with the staging area director. **ONLY THE UNIT AND PARTIPICANTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE STAGING AREA, NO PARKING OF YOUR VEHICLES ALLOWED IN THE AREA. More information will be provided on November 10th with your exact staging information.

1. No Santa 2. No throwing things AT people. 3. No political signs, slogans or politicking. 4. The decision of the chairpersons is final as to any and all questions or concerns in regards to participation in the parade. 5. In accordance with the Ohio Fire Code, FM-306.5, any motorized float, or the motorized vehicle pulling the float, must be equipped with a fire extinguisher. The extinguisher must be accessible to the driver at all times. The size needed is a Type ABC, Rated 2-A: 10-B: C. 5. The DTCP Float Chairpersons will assign floats to an area, some floats may not be assigned until the morning of the parade. All floats that would like to be judged need to be in their staging area by 5 pm day of the parade. Judging will begin promptly at 5:30p.m. everyone needed to make your float operate and/or give a ‘finished’ look should be present for judging.
